Is the RAADS-R Test right for you?

The RAADS-R Test is designed for adults who want to reflect on social, sensory, language, and routine-related experiences across childhood and adult life. It can organize questions you may already have, but it cannot confirm autism or replace a full developmental assessment. You may also see the name written as RAADS R Test.

When the RAADS-R Test is complete, the free result shows a total score from 0 to 240 together with Social Relatedness, Sensory-Motor, Language, and Circumscribed Interests scores. This structure helps you see which answers shaped the total while keeping the published threshold and the limits of self-report screening in view.

Language · max 21

Literal language, conversational rhythm, and understanding implied meaning.

Score guide

Understand the RAADS-R Test score range

The questionnaire produces a total score and four domain scores. Here is the essential context to know before interpreting either.

0–240

Total score range

The threshold is context—not a verdict

The original validation study selected 65 as a research threshold. The scale was designed to support clinician assessment, and later referral studies found weaker standalone performance.

65106140
0240

0–64

Below the published threshold

The original research threshold is not reached. This does not rule out autism or another explanation for your experiences.

65–105

Some autistic traits

The score meets the published threshold and falls within a commonly used descriptive band for some autistic traits.

106–139

Higher trait endorsement

Responses show broader endorsement of traits measured by the questionnaire. Context and professional assessment still matter.

140–240

Pronounced trait endorsement

Responses show pronounced endorsement across the questionnaire. This remains a screening result, not a diagnosis or severity rating.

Only 65 comes from the original validation study. The 106 and 140 boundaries are descriptive groupings, not validated diagnostic cutoffs. Read the result alongside lived history and other possible explanations; a self-report score cannot confirm or exclude autism.

Bring clearer notes to your next conversation

A RAADS-R Test result is easier to discuss alongside real examples. Note when relevant experiences began, how they affect daily life, and what support helps before speaking with someone you trust or a qualified professional.
